Indian tycoon spends cash on homeless as his wedding present for daughter

Ajay Munot had $106,000 put aside to spend on his daughter’s wedding but decided instead to use the money to help underprivileged members of his community.

Both his daughter and future son-in-law were supportive of his decision and helped hand out the keys to the lucky new owners.

Mr Munot visited the local slums where he hand-picked the recipients.

The plan was the built 108 homes, however only 90 were completed by the time of the wedding.

The businessman told local media that all people in his position should share their wealth to give others the chance to live a normal life.

“This is the new chapter in history and I hope that the same concept will be followed by the other rich communities,” he told RT.

“We have some responsibilities towards our society and we tried to comply with it.”
